Of all the things Donald Trump has been called on the campaign trail, this one might sting the most: golf cheat.
Oscar De La Hoya says that’s what he saw on the links when Trump joined up with his group at Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles two years ago. Trump, he said, cheated not once but twice in the space of two holes.
“Yes, I caught him,” De La Hoya said. “It was unbelievable.

It depends on the nature of the game.
I don’t ever play by the PGA rules. We play by the good pals rules. I don’t really care if someone nudges a ball so they can swing without a branch being in the way, if the swing from near out of bounds...that kind of thing.
Obviously wouldn’t go in a PGA event, but who cares otherwise? I don’t. I don’t give a rip what guy wins any given round. Even if for a beer/coke, I’ll buy beer/coke and not really care. I enjoy it actually.
That De La Hoya waited so long to talk about Trump’s golf game might have something to do with the fight he’s promoting Saturday night at the MGM Grand. It matches a Muslim and a Mexican in Amir Khan and Canelo Alvarez, and there are tickets to sell.
Just in case you thought the Times believed the headline.
