I would agree if Sasse specifically said the 3rd party candidate would be Bernie Sanders, trying to split the Democrats.
If he is suggesting 3rd party to split the Republicans, that’s not a good guy move, in my opinion.
But yours is a reasonable argument. Most of this thread reminds me of scenes from the French Revolution.
