That IS a genuinely terrifying nightmare scenario.

Susana Martinez would be good too as she’s a woman and a hispanic Republican governor

This is a garbage article. A few predictable possibilities, but the author (Tim Funk?) actually tries to suggest someone like Joe Scarborough, or Jesse Ventura?

Or Carl Icahn? Or Franklin Graham?

The VP position is both the most critical (’heartbeat away from the Presidency’) and the most meaningless except for splitting ties in the Senate and attending foreign funerals.

I’m hoping that Trump will hold off until the convention when he becomes the ‘official’ nominee before announcing his choice for VP. It needs to be someone who can step up and serve as President at once, should it become necessary.

Rubio would be a repeat mistake like Reagan choosing HW Bush. I say cut a deal w Cruz, my VP, after election is won, Cruz resigns and is submitted for SCOTUS and DT fills the VEEP position as he sees fit.

The list of people who might actually say yes is underwhelming. None of those folks are going to help the ticket get elected. The best you can say for them is that they won’t hurt him. And even that’s not true for some of them.

That’s crazy. I didn’t think it was possible to ever have a candidate with less experience or qualifications than the bamster. Your scenario destroys my conclusion.

But Trump would anger so many conservatives in Florida, he could very well lose the state. I don’t think he can afford that at this point. Reaching out to Rubio is a no. Out of those you singled out, Gingrich is the one who best fits what Trump said he wanted in a VP.

Too old. The VP has to be at an age ready to assume the Presidency.

Nah! Trump is married to all the woman he needs. Women voters will soon be eating out of her hand.....the new Jacqueline Kennedy.

Trump needs a solid , energetic, VP with a never give up attitude. It doesn’t matter what sex they might be.
