President George W. Bush will not attend this summer's Republican convention, his spokesman confirmed to The Hill.

The spokesman, Freddy Ford, told The Hill in an email that the most recent Republican president "does not intend to attend" the convention in Cleveland.

Ford also told The Associated Press that Bush does "not plan to participate in or comment on" the presidential race.

Good. The toxic Bushes must be uprooted root and branch. They should be treated like the noxious weeds that they have been for decades.

Good. He was part of the problem not part of the solution.

Your comment was bad but I still let out a guffaw though. It was bad but good.

I never want to see our hear another Clinton, Bush, Obama or Romney again after Nov. ‘16. To the dustbin of history with all of them.

When speaking of American politicians, it's not a dustbin...it's the re-cycle bin.

No more bushes...in any format.

If Reggie Bush ran on Ronald Reagan's platform, it would still be impossible to vote for another Bush.

GWB, the man who claimed in a speech I will never forget: “victory would not look like those of our fathers and grandfathers.....” will hopefully soon get an object lesson in “yes, actually victory looks like victory - if it doesn’t look like victory it isn’t victory”

When he gave that speech (I think his last state of the union, or close to it) and I realized that he really was as stupid as people claimed he was, or perhaps (more likely) simply a Saudi butt-boy.

For a Commander-in-Chief to not understand the concept of “victory” is the ultimate betrayal of America. He spent Trillions - and didn’t understand how to win.

I have learned to detest that man more an more as time goes on. Of course he doesn’t want to go to a convention that nominates someone who wants to “win”

GWB can take one of Jebbie’s $75 guacamole bowls and shove it up his so-called ‘compassionate-conservative’ ass.

It could have something to do with those “28 pages”...I really believe when Trump told Jeb his brother didn’t keep us safe, that was a warning from Trump across the bow that he knows more of what he’s letting on...

I think all Past Presidents should go away and retire...

GOP presidents retire quietly. Good for them.

Dems like Clinton, Carter, and probably Obama - the thing that wouldn’t leave. Please go away and leave us alone!!!!!

This helps greatly. Democrats will cross over to vote Trump in droves. They won’t feel like they are traitors to their party and f they can give the Bushes a figurative poke in the eye while doing so, all the better.
