Students held a rally and university President Robert J. Jones said in a letter to students and faculty that he was "deeply concerned, saddened and angry about this incident." Just as in the Duke/Lacrosse case, students and faculty didn't need any evidence to start rallying. As long as the accusers belong to a politically protected group, mere allegations are all that's necessary.
