You'd be surprised just how many democrats seem to just not care about what the *modern* democratic party stands for.

Now these are people who are very pro-gun ownership, pro-life, and definitely NOT down with gay marriage,let alone having men in women's rest rooms.
I have no idea what they are thinking.
It seems that since her dad is a retired union postal worker that they think that the democratic party is somehow "for" them, they are required to vote that way.
Even though the democrats HATE their core beliefs.
Only thing I can figure is that they think the democratic party is something like they were in the JFK era.
The democrats left that reservation probably around that time.

My uncle is like that. He said he thought the Democrats were “for the common man.” Now he was born in the late 1920s so he’s more of a depression-era Dem.
