First 20 seconds. Supposedly within the video clip there are more, but I have checked the validity of the remaining statements.
Now that is just an ignorant statement.
No more from me will be said to you on the subject.
Just because he lost and you want blood doesn't mean that you can or should get it. You can sit in judgement of people all you want, but I will not play your game or give into your demands.
Bravo, sir! +1
Like hell it was funny.
Refreshing to hear such words. I admit to being an SOB and a PITA, it ticks me off when holier than thou types don't.
First 20 seconds. Supposedly within the video clip there are more, but I have checked the validity of the remaining statements.
In the first 20 seconds, Ted Cruz says:
"Donald Trump has pledged to expand Obamacare into socialized medicine... With the Federal government controlling and rationing your healthcare. "
It took me less than 20 seconds to find this:
http://www.redstate.com/streiff/2016/02/19/donald-trump-says-supports-obamacare-mandate/
Trump said:
I like the mandate. Okay, so heres how Im a little bit different. I dont want people dying on the streets and I say this all the time. And I say this Look I did five speeches maybe six speeches today we had a lot of rallies with thousands and thousands of people. I mean we get big crowds. Everytime I talk about this I get standing ovations. The Republican people, theyre wonderful people, they dont want people dying on the streets. Sometimes they say, Donald Trump wants single-payer. Because there is a group of people, as good as these plans are, and by the way your insurance will go way down youll have better players, youll get your own doctor
Given what Donald said in that interview, Cruz's comment is not an unreasonable position to infer from it. As an example of Cruz lying about Trump's position, it is a very bad one. It is not nearly solid enough of contradiction with what Trump said as to qualify as a lie.
Donald Trump does appear to be in favor of Government ran Healthcare. He more or less says so in that interview.
Oh, and "North Idaho for Donald Trump" is the exact same Group that *LIED* about Cruz's commentary on Trump wanting to raise taxes. That is the second lie I've caught them in.
I watched that video a little further than 20 seconds. I find the North Idaho Liars to quote a piece of that same interview where Trump is saying "Obamacare is dead", but they deceitfully cut off all the rest of it where Trump says he "likes the mandate", and "wants single payer."
Again, the conniving deceitful liars appear to be the people who edited quotes out of context.
You say taking comments out of context, the him supporting the mandate was taken out of context. He supports the pre-existing conditions portion of the mandate.
I remember the very first time someone made a big fuss over me. It was Luis Gonzales, who said something similar: “What an honor to get a reply from the Great Lazamataz”. It was way back in 2000.
I was all “Wait, whut?”
I mean I’m just this guy, right? I’m a bit of an asshole who can occasionally turn a nice phrase. That really doesn’t make me this great celebrity.
So when people do that, I facepalm for a second and remind them I’m pretty much who they also are: Another jerk with a keyboard. :)
I don't mind that he lost. There are a lot of things I like about Trump. We could have done far worse. What I mind is the hate filled deceit and vile accusations thrown against the man which probably caused him to lose.
It is a behavior that is beneath the standard that I regard as civilization. You do not make up lies about people who are on your side. You do not promulgate lies about your allies.
You don't join in when Mobs are lynching a man.
Just because he lost and you want blood doesn't mean that you can or should get it.
This isn't about "blood", it's about Hypocrisy and Uncivilized behavior. We hold ourselves up as following a higher standard of behavior than Godless left-wing gutter trash, but we did not do that in this case. We copied the nasty, evil, left-wing destroyers.
It makes it all the easier to believe what George Wallace said: Theres not a dimes worth of difference between the two political parties. "
Apparently there isn't. Just one pack of muckrakers vs another. Makes a man wish they could both lose.
That's not helping you prove your point at all. Even accepting what you say at face value, how can any insurance company provide coverage for Preexisting conditions?
If such a thing is required, nobody would buy medical insurance at all. They would wait till they got sick, and then they would go pay their premium and get potentially hundred of thousands of dollars of coverage for the cost of one premium payment.
I would do that very thing myself if Preexisting conditions were allowed. It would simply bankrupt any company that allowed it. Allowing Preexisting conditions would make of it a government ran healthcare system. It could not be done in any other way. Only the government could sustain such financial losses year after year.
But getting back to the primary point. Cruz's accusation against Donald is not a blatant lie. You might argue that it is a distortion of Donald's position, but exaggerating an opponent's position is the usual and normal practice in politics. It certainly has never before been regarded as sufficient to brand a man a "Liar."
By that standard, there isn't a non-liar amongst the entire lot.
That was my point.....
I think your reply was supposed to go to Diogenese :-)
Yes it is a blatant lie. Trump’s position is not single payer government healthcare, which is exactly what Cruz said it was.
bkmk
It wasn't a lie at all. Donald Trump said so in that same interview, Before the Liars of North Dakota cut it out, that he supported single payer.
He says he didn't want to call it "single-payer" but what he is supporting is the exact same thing as "single-payer."
Therefore Cruz did not lie, and the people who called that a lie are the liars.
