Yes, Trump is going to save America, by destroying its republic. Caesar once did the same thing to Rome.

Actually we’ve had almost sixteen years of increasing government. We already had a big government “conservative” in W. We don’t need another, but that’s what we are getting in Trump.

“On my two dearest issues (illegal immigration and the Second Amendment) Trump and I share values. Those are enough, for now.”

How do you know what his values are? They change so fast.

Just how do you expect him to do that? What do you think Trump would do that would be worse than Hillary?

“We already had a big government “conservative” in W. We don’t need another, but that’s what we are getting in Trump.”

GW Bush was a much better man and better President than either Bill Clinton or Barack Obama. Better than JF Kerry and Algore.

Not my ideal guy, by a long shot. But better than the alternatives. That statement also describes Trump. And we haven’t had anyone apart from Reagan who didn’t love government since Calvin...

He’s been consistent on these two issues since his run, and on the second amendment, since well before that.

“A vote for Hillary is a vote for Obama to finish overthrowing the Constitution and remain in office.”

That doesn’t logically follow from the first.

I have boundless faith in Obama’s willingness to capitalize on every opportunity to further HIS vision of the world. He is likely to spin the ascension of Trump to the presidency as a crisis that needs to be averted. The media and the progressives would agree. A Hillary victory wouldn’t give him the same PR cover to take the sort drastic steps he really wants to make.

Like Eeyore, I see the clouds behind every rainbow.

We live in interesting times...

About the same. What kind of ***hole accuses his opponent’s father of cavorting with Kennedy’s assassin?

For many of us, "lesser of two evils" is the only valid argument for Trump but, considering the alternative, it will be enough for most of us, including me.

OTOH, and recognizing that, of all here who express concern over the NBC clause, you were one that made the very best and most competent precedent-based arguments, it is time to note that Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio have been driven from the race and that Comrade Grandma was born of American citizen parents in northern Illinois.

If Trump wins in November (and even I will vote for him over Comrade Grandma), there will be plenty of time for victory laps. Until then, it does not pay to rub it in. For Trump to win, gather as many disappointed conservatives behind him in every way you know how. Use honey, not vinegar.

A repulsive jerk who can’t control his mouth. But I’d prefer a village idiot to active evil. Hillary hates America. Her loathing for everything good about America is written deep into her wrinkled face.

I don’t have to like or respect Donald Trump. But I’m going to have to vote for him. It’s my duty.

By tramping all over the Constitution, its limitations on government, separation of power, and guarantees of liberty. We’ve just had almost eight years of that, more, if you count the unending war on terror, which looks more like a war on US citizens than an attempt to actually defeat terrorism.

I’ll probably vote for him, if only to keep the dems away from the supreme court, but I’ll be holding my nose very tightly.

I plan to have a C-clamp on my nose, tightened down with a cheater bar, when I vote in November. But the thought of what Hillary would do to the Supreme Court will make me put the clamp on, and leave it long enough to vote.

Regrettably, because most of us have to live here after Inauguration Day, 2017, and would prefer that Comrade Grandma NOT become the next Demonratic Dictraitor at 1600 PA Ave.

THEY should apologize but probably will not Will we respond by cutting off our noses to spite our faces? I hope not. I need to be free whether Trump and his supporters have manners or not. Trump is not perfect by any means. Comrade Grandma is far less so. Let's be honest and admit that Cruz is not perfect either, just more perfect than Trump and FAR more perfect than Comrade Grandma.

Trump is also NOT Moral Monster Mitt Romney, the worst candidate in the sorry history of the GOP, nor anything close to Romney. Refusing to vote for Romney was a moral exercise in that case and is diminished by making too much of a habit of voting third party in too many subsequent elections.

Would a Jeff Sessions VP sweeten the deal? Trump rewards success and loyalty and Jeff Sessions has demonstrated both.

So you approved Trump’s tweet in support of Obama’s speech after Newton and Trump’s call for the ban of evil black guns?

First, thank you for your kind compliment on my arguments relating to the NBC clause. I sincerely appreciate it.

As for your remark quoted above, total agreement, tempered a little bit just by saying that policy positions aren't honey, and voters should choose based on steely eyed evaluation, not on being schmoozed.
