The ideal situation would be for Hillary to only have enough delegates for the win with superdelegates. That will have Bernie supporters royally steamed.

The legal risk to Hillary has just jumped. Trump appears to have clinched the Republican nomination but he remains the weakest of the major candidates the GOP could have fielded against Hillary. From a Democratic perspective, the calculation will be that any credible Democrat will beat Trump handily; even Hillary, with her sky-high negatives, has trounced him consistently in the polling.

Hillary is a probable winner against Trump, which means she will be even more determined to stay in the race come what may. But it would be very easy for Obama to allow a indictment to go forward, which -- if it takes out Hillary -- would mean swapping a likely winner for a certain winner, and increasing the down-ballot pickups as well.

Good.

Let the media be forced to cover that for a while.

At some point the Democrat Party is going to want to dump Hillary because of her many scandals (not because they are horrified she obviously broke multiple laws but because her felonies are obvious targets in the election) and weak performance against Bernie. She is simply an unlikeable candidate.

Bernie still won't get the nod because he is an obvious nut. It will be a ticket of McAwful/Liarwatha or somebody just like them which will unify the Party and still fool enough stupid voters to slither across the finish line. Biden is too weak and flaky to get the nod. Hillary will throw her support to them at the convention and the super-delegates will fall right in line with the Party bosses.

The Clinton team is right. The race is over because now Bernie and Hillary are only vying for the right to lose to Trump in November.

See, people are voting FOR Trump and the Dems want people to vote AGAINST Trump.

Negative voting is not a prime motivator especially for Democrats.

Ergo, President Donald Trump.
