I believe his tweet was a formal concession that trump is the guy folks need to support while they set about shutting Hillary down....
Oh look, Priebus is backing Trump, that means Trump must be “GOPe”, according to the logic I’ve been taught by many posters here at FR.
Priebus is a loyal party functionary. This puts him several steps above globalist ideologues like Krauthammer and George Will, or paid servants of same like Karl Rove. Priebus is putting the good of the party first, not his nonexistent principles.
Guys like him are only as good as their leaders. Trump is a great leader, so he'll convert quite a few hacks to the light side.
I hear what you're aying and I agree, but I'd have more respect if you formed it into a haiku. Something like

Burning fire in the belly...
