Young people aren't embracing Communism. I understand why people might think that, but that's not why they like Bernie. Some of what they like is European-style socialism (e.g. ‘free’ college), but if you proposed real Communism to them they would not be onboard. We're talking about a generation of kids who grew up taking selfies, and having personal Facebook pages, etc. It's also a generation used to seeing and accepting the extravagant lifestyles of Rap ‘musicians’ and other entertainers. This is not a generation that wants to meld into a faceless nameless Commune.

Well either way they despise Capitalism and the free market system..they want freebies. See that “May Day” protest in Seattle, they hate Capitalism but love their iPhones and video games, neither would exist without a Capitalist society. Let them move to Venezuela or North Korea for ONE WEEK see how much they love those “Freebies” then..Bernie Sanders is not only a Socialist, but he despises Israel, that scares me more than his Socialist beliefs

Nor would they have the discipline and physical stamina. Every communist nation has been essentially a military dictatorship, with lots of extra hard labor ‘volunteered’ by mandate. Also morally rigid in many ways. The internet rationing alone would drive the Fauxsheviks to throw down their lattes in rage.
