“During his Fox interview, Trump invoked a tabloid story that claimed to link Rafael Cruz to John F. Kennedy’s assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, which Cruz’s campaign last month dismissed as “garbage.”
I hope people understand what Trump is doing.
The press has refused to look very deeply into Cruz’s dad’s life. So, Trump repeats the most outrageous allegation out there (that Cruz’s dad was involved JFK’s assassination).
The press won’t be able to resist jumping on this, but to discredit Trump, they will have to report the actual truth about Cruz’s dad.
Castro supporter.
Communist.
Cruz is using his dad as a weapon against Trump. Trump is punching back twice as hard.
And, he must. The election isn’t over, and there is every indication the Cruz people will try to undermine Trump at the convention (and after). Trump knows you don’t quit fighting till the fight is over.
Except Rafael Sr. did not know Castro was a communist. hmmmm.....

One of the reasons the South lost the War Between The States is because they opted at the outset to drive the Yankees out of the South and pursue them to crush them.
At the Battle of Bull Run, the South had a chance to surround Washington DC and demand surrender from Lincoln holding the Union Army as prisoners. But they hesitated as they thought that the whipping they gave to the Yankees would lead to a truce and treaty.
The lesson is to never let the enemy escape to fight another day. The lesson is to pursue the enemy until every last enemy participant is taken and slaughtered or imprisoned.
In the case of Trump’s politics, the aim is to get Cruz to concede and to fall into line behind the nominee. I now have doubts as it appears Cruz is not well-integrated in his person. He appears to have a screw loose. Perhaps then the aim should be to drive him out of politics altogether.
