“Ill bet he is wondering, What went wrong?”
Nothing went wrong. Trump just has a broader appeal.

What went wrong? Being born in a foreign country to a foreign father was not his fault.
Lying about his status, was.

What went wrong?
It’s pretty simple. He kept misrepresenting reality, and the words, actions, and decisions of other people, and it irked them and their supporters.
It began with Carson’s campaign in Iowa, went to the flyers distributed in Iowa, to any position of any candidate — not just Trump.
And who really believes a super lawyer would not know that he has Canadian citizenship when he has his own Canadian birth certificate in his hand.

What went wrong for Cruz is that we found out he is a fraud and a big liar because now there is Google, Drudge , Freerepublic and the Internet so we can see he is lying through research otherwise Cruz would have most people fooled .
Even with all the mountains of evidence that show Cruz is a fraud there are millions of Cruz supporters proving how convincing a liar Cruz is = dangerous but not with Google cause with Google we can fact check this con man Cruz
