Cruz thought he could college-style debate his way to the WH...even to the point of twisting the truth like a typical lawyer.

When that didn't win him any votes, he tried to manipulate his way by stacking the delegate deck for the post first ballot contests. He didn't realize that this would be perceived as a middle finger salute to the voters.

Then he cut a flimsy back room deal with Kasich which added to his smarmy, smarter and holier than thou appearance.

For a smart guy...he's not too bright.

Yes, indeed.

One of the telling moments of this campaign was in the CBS Debate when the moderator Dickerson called out Cruz for misstating facts of history.

It's in the first minute or so of this video.

When Dickerson caught Cruz in a lie, to see Cruz's reaction was precious. Lyin' Ted caught with his hand in the cookie jar :-)
