Cruz Preparing To Suspend Campaign This Week?
DC Whispers ^ | 05-02-2016

FYI: Today the very same rumor from two different (and trusted) sources suggest Senator Ted Cruz’s campaign is currently engaged in ongoing discussions regarding the subject of suspending the campaign as early as this week should the Texas senator lose tomorrow’s Indiana primary.

>I really don’t like Ted Cruz but, he might do well on the SC. Having a likable personality is not required. You don’t have to pay attention to public opinion. You can write scathing dissenting opinions.

>I think he’d be a fairly reliable conservative/moderate vote

And what if he decided to rule against Trump’s program out of spite? This isn’t the most stable guy I’ve seen run for president.

No Chance, Lyin Cruz will continue. Public will literally drag him out of race and send him back to Texas.

No, all you need to do is look at Indiana.

Cruz and Kasich voters are not interchangeable.

Kasih voters are more likely to support Trump over Cruz, and I suspect Cruz voters are more likely to support Trump over Kasich.

Trump stands in the divide. Kasich is way too establishment for Cruz voters.

I want you to be wrong on this, but I think you’re right.

He is drunk on his own fantasy and this is his life long dream. It’s kinda like tossing a drunk out of a bar, sometimes you have to literally toss them out the door. LOL I owned a bar for a few years, so I know. LOL

C'mon RW, think about it.

Ted Cruz is now tagged as the premier liar in the Senate, one of the greatest liars of all time. Not to be trusted.

He is "Lucifer in the Flesh" and "The most miserable SOB" in Washington.

Forget for the moment whether any of this is fair.

Do you really expect a President to nominate a man with this reputation?

At one time, I thought it would be the perfect fit, and if Cruz had gotten out when so many urged, he could have made the deal for this. It's just not reasonable now.

Carly will not want Cruz to drop out. This is Carly’s place in the spotlight.

Katich couldn’t get people to coalesce around him even if he gave away free pizza and beer.

You didn’t get it: Lindsay Graham On Ted Cruz -#3

1. “A good Republican would defend Ted Cruz after tonight,” Graham remarked, before adding, “That ain’t happening.”

2. “I was asked the hardest question in my political life: Do you agree with Donald Trump that Ted Cruz is the biggest liar in politics?” he said. “Too close to call.”

3. “If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you,” Graham said, referencing the Tea Party senator’s unpopular reputation with his colleagues.

Graham on the Cruz birther bandwagon.

4. “I will say that our Canadian is better than your Kenyan,” he quipped.

5. “I know exactly when Ted is going to drop out of the race. March 12 — that’s Canadian week in Myrtle Beach, when all of our Canadian friends get 10 percent off.”

boycott should (at least temporarily) be on the table; included should be el rushbo and all other "TC (faux "True Conservative" neocon) Nobles"

If Cruz follows his own logic he’ll chose an entire cabinet following his loss in Indiana.

As soon as I saw a headline on Drudge where Trump said “I would have to consider Ted for Supreme Court” I thought...the Art of Making the Deal just offered TED a way out of the race for POTUS and a move towards SCOTUS in a Trump administration...we will see where that goes..

If he loses, his donors will probably step in and say no mas! They won't spend any more if he loses, and that would be the end.

Besides, he may have a tin ear, and may have vaulting ambition, but the man is NOT totally stupid.

He must be doing the math, he also must be hearing how so many people that once supported him are not liking what they see.

Part of me would like to believe he's a total megalomaniac who has bought his own PR about being destined to be President.

The other part thinks he will be looking to save his sorry ass if he loses tomorrow. He would still be able to say he fought the good fight, and redeem himself to a degree if he unifies behind Trump.

I think a loss tomorrow will see him trying to save his sorry ass.

God help us if he actually wins........

GOPe handing Cruz a win in WI drew this silliness out for another month., but at least it will now be over, folks can go do whatever it is the need to do to heal and come back and unify to stop Hillary.

A Good trouncing tomorrow pretty much shuts off the funding spigot for Cruz.. which I am sure was already drying up quite rapidly.

About time. Should we let everyone in Indiana know before they vote tomorrow? Or, will this just set up Cruz’s excuse for losing tomorrow—like he did to Carson, someone, maybe even Cruz is doing this to himself to give him an excuse to not quit?
