THANK YOU! I am getting sick of EVERYTHING being a memorial these days. Whatever happened to the America that was the land of opportunity, where men strove for greatness? Now it’s “Boo hoo hoo, something bad happened”. Does every town have memorials to the Great Chicago fire or the San Fransisco earthquake of 1906? No. And as far as I’m concerned the only proper memorial to 9-11 would be an enormous crater where Mecca used to be. And while we’re at it could we cool it with the POW/MIA flags? It’s an importent issue, and those flags should fly over the local VFW and the homes of patriotic veterans; but do we really need to fly them over the town hall, the library, the post office and the highway rest stops?
