A Vet and a Conservative. And as a woman, she takes the “war on women” argument from Hillary. Works for me.

First term Senator? Trump needs someone who knows the ins-and-outs of DC. He needs a conservative LBJ.

I really like the idea of someone with a military background being a vp pick.

She sold out as soon as she got to the District of Corruption. Bad choice.

“Joni” is “alright” as a JUNIOR US Senator, HOWEVER She DOES have a Minor RINO/Gop-e Streak to her she probably wouldn’t bring much to the ticket.

Senator Joni Ernst would be a fine addition to the Trump Administration, however I think her talents would be better utilized as Secretary of the Army, considering that she has 23 years service, served as a company commander during the Iraq War, a lot of logistics experience with the Iowa National Guard.

Having said that, I'm sticking with my first choice for VP for Trump, which is Congressman Duncan D. Hunter of California, likewise a veteran, combat experience, has been a solid supporter of Trump, and just like his Dad, a solid Reagan-style Republican.

The Washington Post published an article listing five candidates likely to be considered to be Trump's vice president
*******************************************************

Oh the Washington Post did this....well how about we let TRUMP decide who HE wants as his V.P.

Freepers need to consider two VERY different criteria RE Trump’s VP:

1) The first is the issue of electability. The race against Hillary is likely to be very close in terms of electoral votes. The choice needs to add to the electability of the ticket, either in terms of specific states, or by enhancing a particular demographic. IMHO, this automatically and without question eliminates people like Sessions or Hunter or Gingrich.

2) The next issue is one of governance. The choice has to be able to do the job, and be able to step in in case of disaster. Trump will be the target of any of a number of very nasty and evil groups - drug cartel, Islamists, Uniparty Globalists, nonwhite racist groups, Asian hegemonists, etc. The VP choice needs to be able to run the country AND carry Trump’s torch.

Not a seasoned choice.

She's personally very capable (and far better than Bruce Braley would have been), but she did not move out of the Romney set when she had the chance, and is very establishment despite her campaign rhetoric.

(She has not as of yet spoken critically of any of the porkers at the trough, let alone castrated them.)

My gut tells me that she would be to Donald Trump what G.H.W. Bush was to Ronald Reagan.

If Trump wanted a woman Senator, he could pick one with experience....like Lindsey Graham. Too bad Lindsey is a mealy mouth RINO.

Bernie for VP !

Ya swipe votes from Hillary .... win win in landslide for Trump
Bernie gets impeached by Feb of 17 by a gop’e majority for trying to overthrow US in the 60’s.
Appoint Sarah Palin as VP.

How my fictional election script would play out. Alternate ending is Donald chokes to death on a potato chip an Bernie becomes POTUS with Moonbeam Brown as his VP...:o)

With all due consideration I personally do NOT see any GOOD VP choice on the horizon.

Matt Salmon of Arizona or Lee Zeldin of New York. Ted Yoho of Florida is a dork but a good guy, too.

She’s a good possibility in terms of having her on a list of possibles but IMO she’s not a good actual choice. From what I know about her, I was impressed of course with her victory in her home state. AND THAT’S IT.

I haven’t heard on single peep from her or about her since she was elected. Not one word. To me, either she is laying way back and learning the insider ropes, which means that she does not know them but is looking to learn them; OR, she is intimidated by the whole DC power edifice. Neither one of those is something or someone whom would benefit Trump, IMO.

I think Duncan Hunter, as posted below, is an intriguing choice.

Almost every elected Republican he could pick is a complete jackass.

She is one of them.

She has the likability factor, would score with women. The problem I see is that she is first term senator with little political experience and dealing with hostile media.
