I posted this on yesterday’s thread (didn’t mean to leave you out of that one, dforest), but it ended up being after Nikos’ post with a link to today’s thread.
Hoosiers - you may be aware of this (article is from Jan), but I just saw it. I wonder if the Koch Bros and/or some of the governors pressured Pence (IIRC S. Martinez from NM is head of the Gov Assoc this year).
State election division records show Pences campaign received the contribution two days before the Dec. 31 reporting deadline. That helped Pences campaign raise
some $3.5 million during the last half of 2015, while Greggs campaign collected nearly $2 million.
Pence also banked sizeable checks in the last days of
2015 from several out-of-state supporters, including $100,000 from billionaire conservative activist David Koch and $10,000 from former Anheuser-Busch CEO August Busch III.
Great find “SHERMAN”
That explains why Pence endorsed Cruz unwillingly. Money talks...
Always follow the money Just because he SAID he was voting for CRUZ doesn’t mean he WILL. It is a private ballot after all. And Pence IS a politician !
Have sat in the fourth row of that facility watching my Uncle coach his team to a loss in a TRIPLE overtime in State Regional basketball competition. Back when Bobby called him John with that classic pat on the back handshake The place was filled to the brim that day as it will be to see the General. And future President.
My grandparents died in hospitals in Fort Wayne. It is the center of everything !
Irony of ironies....and who is an Executive Director of the RGA and featured right at the top of their website? Mike "Tedlim" Pence
But let Trump have a word about the RGA:
"My life has been about winning and that's what I want to do for the countryWe owe 19 trillion dollars .. these Republican politicians .. I'm going to end Obamacare and replace it with something much better .. "they walk into the Capital Building and they say we've arrived, they become mainstream, they don't want to leave, they lose all of their courage, and they've let us down."
5 months ago I was with you! I gave 350000 to the Republican Governor's Association and never got a letter of thank you .. Not one letter from one governor .. Politicans forget, generally aren't competent, and are good at getting elected
What's really important to me is the United States and Making America Great Again" -- Donald Trump at the Republican Jewish Coalition Forum
