That’s great, but this man is probably about ready to retire anyway. I would think a lot of loyalty has been lost, many bonds were forever broken when he was punished for doing the right thing. I would not trust such a capricious, PC dominated organization with the remaining best years of my life. He may need the financial security, so that too must be considered.

Agreed. It’s always the case that when corrupt people dominate and control, they punish the good, decent, heroic and orderly and strive to drive them out. I truly hate seeing corruption dominating our nation and military. Like many other Americans, my family has a long history of self-sacrificially serving our nation via the military.

Whether he is ready to retire or not, the retirement benefits that he earned are going to be worth approx. 1.5 million dollars(retirement pay for the rest of his life plus healthcare for himself and his wife for the rest of his life) plus his VA benefits on top of that.

If they would have kicked him out before retirement, he would lose it all.

My Husband makes over $60k a year just for waking up in the morning. Allowing Martland to retire is a big deal. He deserves what he has earned.
