But it does revolve around the conceit that the 40th president had no knowledge of where he was or what he was doing throughout his entire second term. The protagonist is Frank Corden, a low-level White House aide with a sweetly idealized view of American democracy. The first clues that Reagan is not in his right mind come early on: As Frank prepares coffee for Reagan re-election staffers, he overhears Treasury Secretary Don Regan (depicted as a stern, mentor-like figure) in a heated phone conversation with Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger (cartoonishly abusive, he's described as "all Brylcreem and forehead veins"). "Write it down for him," Reagan says. "Write everything down. Even his name!"

Old news.
He’s already walked away from this.
OK, so Will Farrell gets 2 published mailings from 2 of Reagans 3 kids. Where was(is) the dancer?
The content is not old news. Did you read the article that goes into the script? The script still lives and the producer of The Big Short will likely proceed with some other actors.
Ferrell is an unfunny creep. His stuff is unwatchable.
F you, whoever made this. Alzheimers is a cruel disease and it acts differ
Rently on everyone. Both my parents have/ had it, my dad died after seven years last month. My mom is in the late middle stages.
This is not a good idea. It’s just plain cruel. People with the early stages of Alzheimer’s do not deserve to be made fun of. This is a really horrible a rare, when they seem almost normal but they know something is wrong. It’s a horror movie for all concerned, no way.
The Page Six article isn’t close to the script detail. It the script that is the news - not Will Ferrell.
agreed on the unfunny. And creepy. With a signature move of appearing fully posterior-aly naked in almost every film. Sick. And, yes, unwatchable.
Stranger than Fiction
Megamind
Land of the Lost
Three rather decent movies IMO.
There’s no defense for signing on to this trash movie involving Reagan. I’ll grant you that. I don’t think his walking away redeems him either, although I don’t know how far along it was and if he was truly on board all the way.
Hey, if he deserves the lumps, he deserves the lumps.
Look at the slobbering libs that did a reading in March of the script:

My condolences to you on the loss of your father. The Alzheimer’s walk IS horrifying. My dad died of brain cancer at 77 five years ago. It was like Alz in fast speed. I’m left alone as pretty much an only child (sibling long in Europe) to care for my mom sinking into dementia. She’s in an assisted living facility as I could no longer care for her in my home. She’s getting the slow death and I grieve a little more every time I see her which is two to three times a week.
To sink this low for Hollywood is really depraved. F them is right. I have a few other choice words in this situation but I don’t want to be banned.
Finally! Someone I can agree with. If I could have the difference, in dollar$, between what HE thinks he’s worth as an actor, and what I think he’s worth; I could live large for the rest of my days.
Either himself or Adam Sandler as the subject.
If Hollywood wants to make some real comedy they should do a movie on Carter, Clinton and Obama.
Pulling his trousers down to his ankles and bending over... As usual.
My 83 yr old mom has been losing her memory for about a year or so. Just today her neuropsychology results came in. We were told it looks to be early stage of Altzheimers. I’m her caregiver and I’m not sure what I’m in for yet. That anyone would ever try to make a comedy out of this disease disgusts me.
I have spent the last nine years taking care of my mother who has Alzheimer’s. No matter who the subject is there is nothing funny about Alzheimer’s at all. Everyone involved in this project is scum.
With Adam Sandler every other bit is about a fart... Will Farrel on the other hand just IS a fart.
No one cares.
