Is there any concern that Donald may need the votes of the folks who are being denigrated because he isn’t currently their first choice?

You Cruz folks talking to others about the need for civility is as outlandish as the premise Cruz isn’t completely precluded from winning the nomination in 2016.

Stuff your idiotic concerns where the sun doesn’t shine!

You folks have been the biggest a.h.s I’ve seen on this forum in the 18 years I’ve been here.

There would be, if you believe that FReepers compose a large enough voting bloc in their individual states to sway the general election one way or the other. There are thousands and thousands of FReepers to be sure, however without knowing if the bruised feelings of those who chose unwisely and cast their lot with Cruz are such that it would cause any state to shift from the (R) column to the (D) column, that is nothing more than speculation which cannot be effectively proven.

In my view, it may be likely that a small percentage of Cruz supporters who: (1) were more than eager to dish out the most vile and contemptible attacks on Trump and (2) can't take what they dished out with relish (or any other condiment for that matter;) could indeed allow themselves to be so swayed that they would either stay home or perhaps even vote for Hillary Rotten Criminal as a way of cutting off their noses to spite their faces. Some voters in fact ARE that childish. Fortunately, it is doubtful their immaturity would actually impact on the results of the general election. I bear no individual animus towards most Cruz supporters who have been able to shake off the delusions they were fed by a Cuban-Canadian candidate who was quite honestly unworthy of their loyalty and support. They were used and abused, no differently than the misguided followers of any political or religious cult.

Some however, continue to beat the same Cruznadian drum and scream the chants they still think will ward off the opponents and 'evil' entities they perceive threaten their candidate.

For those still rabid and irrational individuals, they in fact continue to attack and denigrate the inevitable nominee Donald Trump, they spout off with every sort of outlandish bullshit as they try to deny reality, and so far as this website is concerned, our Esteemed Founder has made it clear: they should Opus out OR be prepared for the Big Zot from the Sky.

That's the way I see it, and for those brainwashed 'fight to the very last' Cruzers, they may not get what they want (a Cruz nomination) but they're gonna get what they deserve, every last one of 'em.

no concern whatsoever.

nor should there be any mercy until Mr. "face of God", the "second ballot initiative" conspirator, resigns and repents for his "destroy donald" fund raising campaign letters that I am still getting... even this morning... and begs for mercy from us all regarding his manipulative lying character... and long standing track record for dishonest dealing.

They'll just have to put such pettiness aside in November.

If they're that petty, they're just looking for an excuse to not vote for Trump anyway.

Facing the prospect of Hillary in the White House, and the fact that Hillary is much more likely to end up in the White House if the GOP has a contested convention as the GOPe hopers, now is the time to unify behind Donald Trump.

Instead, Cruz seeks to risk both the party and the country by helping the "NeverTrump"/GOPe crowd foment a contested convention which would irreparably splinter the party, destroy voter enthusiasm, cause millions of Trump voters to stay home, and guarantee a Hillary landslide in November.

There's simply no upside to the chaos which the selfish and narcissistic Ted Cruz wants to cause.

Vote Trump

Funny, how you Cruz guys aren't concerned with getting Trump votes, while talking about taking the nomination in the 2nd ballot!

And this because your candidate was able to block Trump from getting the majority of delegates!

Are you saying that you won't vote for Trump in the general?

If so, state it now and just get it over with.

“Is there any concern that Donald may need the votes of the folks who are being denigrated because he isn’t currently their first choice?”

What do you want Trump and his supporters to do - come begging on bended knee for your support, after you’ve been kicking the man for nine long months?

I think it’s high time that Cruz supporters woke up and smelled the coffee. Cruz isn’t going to be the nominee, and there are a lot of very good reasons why that’s so. Reasons that, up til now, many Cruz supporters have been unwilling to hear.

Perhaps it’s time you started listening to us former Cruzies.
