Funny how all those poor Vietnamese who went to my home state in the 70s have succeeded. Not all of them, but darned close.

And, in the same area, certain folks who could have been sons and daughters of the Cretin-in-Charge are still where their parents were, and their many many children from many many women will suffer the same fate.

Sorry, NYT, but THAT’s the truth.

It’s not money.

It is culture.

And certain cultures are doomed to failure, and can ONLY be changed from within.

the Vietnamese that came here often took menial jobs...worked hard..both parents...lived in homes with several generations to save money....and take pride in the fact that their children go to college and become successful...

I noticed the same with the Russians....they may be housekeppers but their kids learn a good trade or go to college....
