I spent 2 weeks in Lexington, KY for job training at the Lexmark printer plant back around 2000.
Really liked the place, i especially noticed the racial harmony the area seemed to had to offer.
I also noticed how INSANE Wildcat fans are....had a guy offer me a free ticket while i was at a bar in the adjacent mall next to the stadium, when i declined stating that i was comfortable just sitting there drinking my beer and watching it on TV i thought that he was about to fight me lol.
i liked the town a lot and had a fun time driving around in my Ford Escort rental. :)
At the time i was amazed at seeing all of the printers coming off of the Lexmark line, i wonder if that factory is even there anymore....
The INSANE Wildcat fans are all over..even here in IN. That is why we say when Kentucky plays anyone, “Anyone but Kentucky!” You can be a U of L fan and I U fan here and its fine. But you can’t mix Ky. in with any other team.
