Good Lord, and what makes that even MORE inappropriate is that Cruella Fiorina is 25 years older than Rafael The Ladies Man.

For a bunch of reasons you'd show a little more manners (though Ted seems to be tone deaf in matters like this), but especially when it is an older lady. A gentleman would be more deferential, and again, would not even leave an APPEARANCE of impropriety, which the full frontal dry humping looks like.

Men and women who are not married to each other, not dating each other, and not in the same family do NOT hug like that. Professionals with a professional relationship, in business for example, do NOT go full frontal with hugs like that. A SIDE HUG would be more appropriate.

Finally, notice the position of Ted's left hand, it's approaching if not almost in the small of Carly's back. Come on guys, that's where we put our hand in a hug to press her body into ours, especially her lower body. You wouldn't go far in a corporation if you pulled that sh!t on many professional women. Nothing would probably be said, but you'd be known as weird and not executive material.

A proper hug between business or professional associates might look something like this---shoulders touching, but that's it:
