Nearly a quarter of voters say they would stay home or vote for a third-party candidate in a general election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national survey.
The poll finds Trump and Clinton tied with 38 percent each among likely voters.

When Trump wins the GOP nomination he should announce he is ALSO running third party. That will fix ‘em.
Count me in (or out). I’ve voted for every GOP presidential candidate since 1976, including moderates like Dole and McCain. If Trump is the nominee, I won’t vote for president or will vote third party.
I live in CA, so it won’t matter much anyway. Hillary will win here.

Not so fast.
The last time even 65% of eligible voters actually managed to vote was 1908. Every presidential election since it has been less than that, sometimes way less. So only 25% of voters deciding to not vote would be a massive improvement in turnout, beating 1908 by + 10%.

I used to think like you do, but then it dawned on me why Democrats bus as many as they can to the polls.
