Have seen these in Germany and Italy in factory locker rooms. I believe they are quite common although have never seen them in a restaurant.

In GREECE....I’m there right now, and had to use one of these. No toilet paper is allowed In any toilets, you throw it in a basket....it’s DISGUSTING!!
They developed democracy, but can’t get a toilet to flush paper!

Throughout the Middle East. When you go in, usually you are handed a coffee can of water...to throw down the hole, when you are *finished.*
