Ex-Trump aide: Carly Fiorina brings nothing
bostonherald.com ^ | Chris Cassidy

Posted on 04/28/2016 4:22:40 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

“This is a guy who stepped out of an airplane without a parachute and just invited Carly Fiorina along,” said GOP strategist Patrick Griffin. “This thing has moved on to the general election. I don’t know how much longer he does this.”

*snip*

Fiorina also lacks unique or deep ties to Indiana or many of the other remaining primary states, except California, where she lost a U.S. Senate race in 2010 by 10 points.

“It’s one of the few cards he’s got left to play to really change the conversation people are having,” said Chris Galdieri, a political science professor at St. Anselm College. “The good news is we’re talking about Cruz. The bad news is a lot of people are just sort of scratching their heads.”

Former Trump operative Roger Stone flatly rejected the idea Fiorina will benefit Cruz in any way.

“She brings you no delegate votes, plus layoffs (at HP), plus outsourcing (at HP), plus a golden parachute. It’s almost like a (Mitt) Romney-like narrative for the Democrats, seems to be a layup,” Stone told Boston Herald Radio. “I don’t know why would you bring in Carly Fiorina, she brings you nothing.”

Cruz is desperately running out of remaining delegates and real estate. Next Tuesday’s Indiana primary is critical with 57 delegates up for grabs and Trump leading several polls by between 5 percent and 8 percent.

For some reason, circus music always pops into my head whenever I read an article about this election.

So she can go after Trump on the sexist issue?

Last ditch attempt to save a dying campaign that won't work.

re: Carly brings nothing.

But it sure does subtract. Just TWO DAYS after The Collaberation, Cruz destroyed any hope for Kasich supporters that maybe it would lead to a VP choice. It leaves no reason for the other wannabees or their supporters to side with Trump.

Again, Cruz is so clever that he outsmarts himself.

He thinks it will bring him the "women's vote."

Cruz is a fool - he should have stepped down months ago - Trump would have made him Supreme Court Justice.

Too late now, and too many bad vibes for that.

My first reaction to Carly when she declared she was running was that she seemed like a good candidate. After finding out more about her, not so much. She really proved she couldn’t handle the heat after her first dust up with Trump. Then it just got annoying during the debates looking at her pouting b!tch face.

It did bring fifteen minutes of exposure on national TV, and some discussion among the chattering class (but not necessarily favorable comment).

This has almost sealed the deal for The Donald in Indiana. I suspect Ted Cruz could not get the endorsement of the Indiana governor, and went for this as a “second best”.

Second best was never that much of an advantage.

My 75 year old sister calls me on cell phone while I’m out to dinner and says did you just see that hug / embrace between Carly and Ted -— it was totally inappropriate, it was a full body flat hug. Maybe he can have 2 wives like his daddy Rafaelie Oswaldie Cruz had.

Good choice, and go Ted Cruz. This is a battle of IDEAS and not just rhetoric. I like Ted Cruz who articulates and actually has a plan, and not just once more telling us he is going to build a wall.
Can;t wait til Carly reminds him of his twitter slurs and Trumps incapability to admit it wasn;t a good thing to call a lady ugly. I;m witth Ted on this tight race.

Fiorina brings less than nothing. She is a symbol of Donald Trump’s central message; the outsourcing of jobs. She was particularly talented at doing this. It goes along with the Carrier Air Conditioner example he uses at every rally.

With all this being said and the Cruz still planning to be President; where does he plan to put his Presidential Library? My guess is Calgary.

She can attack Hillary without having Hillary claim that the men are bullying the little girl.

Hillary destroyed Lazio using that argument. Carly takes that argument off the table. Carly is quite willing to attack Hillary and can do so with impunity.

The analysis is second tier as is the analyst.

“Snarly brings nothing to sCruz”

She might bring certain defeat. The most unattractive candidate selects the second most unattractive candidate as running mate. It just keeps getting better.

Those two ought to get married. They seem to have a mannish-womannish connection - even going back to her defending the Enquirer article for him - there’s a subtle flirtation - and this lullaby to the kids is a little indicative of a couple in a kind of creepy movie way. Insects mate ... so I’m not saying ‘it’s beautiful’ - I’m just saying they seem like two people nature intended to sleep together and scheme together. Maybe Ted admires that she extorted 500K from him because it was clever and didn’t break the rules. Those two things could be a strong foundation the kind of trust that only comes with mutual but equivalent distrust and an ability to ruin each other.

“He probably needed her money.”

Maybe. Then you have to wonder why HE gave HER $500,000 for no apparent reason a few weeks. I think it was buying off her silence regarding Cruz’ affair with one of Carly’s staffers.
