Wealthy, educated voters fuel Trump's East Coast sweep

Wealthy, well-educated voters helped carry Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump to victory in this week’s East Coast primaries, a demographic the famously blunt-spoken billionaire had struggled to attract in the past.

His sweep of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island on Tuesday included wins in some of the richest and best-educated counties in the country - like Fairfield County, Connecticut, and Newport County, Rhode Island - and added to victories in his more traditional strongholds of white working-class neighborhoods.

Exit polls from Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Maryland showed Trump winning about half of Republican voters with college degrees, and over half of Republican voters making more than $100,000 a year.

What happened to the mantra that only stupid blue collar people vote for him?

Apparently they finally figured out that wasn't the case, as many other statements that sought to dismiss Trump and his support turned out to be wrong,

It’s only April and I’m sick of exit polls.

Anyone who participates in one should be put in the stocks and pelted with rotten vegetables.

Let’s see, what Freeper has been pointing this out in poll after poll? Oh yeah, me.

This is NOT just in the NE states but in every state. Trump draws the educated, those above $45k, a higher % of evangelicals and a slightly higher % of “very conservative” voters.

Meanwhile, visualize their reaction if somebody pointed out who illiterate welfare recipients vote for.

The mantra was Leftist wishful thinking.

It's hard to know whether those knuckle-dragging troglodytes actually believe their propaganda or not, but they wanted oh-so-despertely to believe--or to have the world believe--that Trump's supporters were ignorant, uneducated, and stupid. The opposite is true.

I've been a Trump supporter since the beginning. I have more than a few million, an IQ measured in the upper 100s, a doctorate degree, and more than twelve years of college level formal education (it's hard to say exactly how many because I've been studying in college since I first got a B.S.); I've also travelled and lived all over the world and will be glad to measure my degree of sophistication against anyone's).

What Leftists can't bring themselves to understand is that they are way behind us--not ahead of us, as they would love to believe. (In other words, they are stupid. They are not smart enough to think for themselves and grasp reality.)

The Left would love to believe--or have the world believe--that Trump is stupid and uneducated, but even they are not that delusional,

which comes as a surprise because I thought there was no limit to their delusions.

There is certainly no limit to their mendacity, and, if they could convince the world of it, they would have no qualms about doing so,

but it's impossible; so they try to convince people that he's crazy, but no one believes that either.

The Left simply cannot explain the Trump Revolution. They're too stupid and too dishonest to comprehend it. So they're baffled.

You think the Lincoln Chafee and Olympia Snowe wing of the Republican party is held in any higher regard by conservatives?

The Northeast has always voted for a strong central authoritarian government, so Trump’s victory is not surprising. A President Trump will get things done, regardless of written laws. I just hope the president after him will not be a democrat/socialist/communist/American hater.

strongholds of white working-class neighborhoods.

See, it’s ok to describe part of our population
in these terms which are racist and classist when
used to describe liberal voters.

As long as the lexicon of socialism is used, socialism
is what you will get.
