“sales pitch for U.S. voters and a blunt message for the world Wednesday: America comes first.”

The crazy bastards opposing this. Will someone explain to me how doing it ANY other way is right? Are we supposed to put the interests of foreign nations first?

That this is even slightly controversial shows how depraved our leaders have become.

Rachel Madcow is talking about this now and comparing Trump to Nazi sympathizer, Charles Lindbergh who first proposed the “America first” foreign policy and Pat Buchanan who resurrected the concept apparently.

The article mentioned some criticisms of his speech, including the same thing they always say, that he doesn’t give details. I hear it everywhere. The elites must think it makes them sound smart.

Trump’s foreign policy speech today was brilliant on many different levels, but one of the most brilliant aspects to his speech is that by formulating and articulating his foreign policy in as much detail as he did at this stage of the election, he’s actually defined the foreign policy issues that will be debated from this point forward in the election! Hillary must now speak to TRUMP’S foreign policy! Hillary must either agree or disagree with the elements of Trump’s policies, which pretty much means she will lose either way.

So, ONCE AGAIN, Donald J. Trump has defined the election issues and has defined them in such a way that it is win-win for him and lose-lose for his opponent. This is something I don’t ever recall seeing in the last 25 years, namely a GOP candidate defining the issues and putting the Democrat on the defensive, rather than the Democrat defining the issues and putting the GOP on the defensive.

[BTW, what’s Hillary’s foreign policy? Does she even have one? Can’t wait to hear her foreign policy speech!]

Don’t be silly. Libs elect libs to talk about sexual issues: Gay marriage, transgender, sex toys. It is all about bedrooms and bathrooms.

Well, there are the crazy ideas that a black, uneducated moron or an illegal alien should have the same income level as highly trained, hard-working, very intelligent entrepreneurs and inventors should have.

All part of the lib platform, no foreign policy required.

Heresy - blasphemy - just ask Lindsey graham and The Sacramento Bee - and a few of Cruz's followers who have developed dementia from the effort of keeping up their support.

Trump gets it and isn't ashamed to be "America and Americans First and America Great Again" in his heart and his actions.

Screw you CNN

They really are pathetic, aren't they...

Whenever I see their commentators "discuss," it's like watching the North Korean coverage of Kim Il Sung's funeral.

Sounds like Ronald Reagan's approach to foreign policy:

"We win, they lose."

“...actually defined the foreign policy issues...”

Yes. Trump is showing his leadership here. We hardly recognize it when a political figure has actually taken a strong leadership position because it has been so long since this nation had a leader not afraid of anyone, including the media. Thanks for pointing it out so clearly.

The comparisons with Hitler are absurd. Patriotism is not at all the equivalent of evil nationalism. Hitler wanted to take over Europe. Trump wants to protect American interests enough so that we can recover our economy and bring about the prosperity conditions that will produce jobs for our workforce.

General thought to all to keep in mind: Let’s not let the left form the narrative yet again. Trump is a patriot, not a nationalist in the negative sense. (Although nationalism in and of itself itself isn’t automatically all bad, just if taken too far, possibly, but that is true for any position; every position must have a balance.)

I look forward to the day when a politician or elitist who acts and sounds like a globalist is axed by the public quickly and completely.

Yep. The military’s new rules of engagement under President Trump : “Go get ‘em boys and call me back when it’s done!”.
