You were lucky! I can’t imagine how scary that must have been! I’ve never seen an actual tornado, but I’ve dreamed of them for years.
Just hope I don’t tonight! LOL!

I didn’t see the tornado. All I saw was water - - lots and lots of water. Couldn’t see more then 10 feet from where I was standing.
The guy who lives behind the farm saw the funnel come down and came over to see if we were all right afterwards. It was a small funnel and that’s the only reason we were as lucky as we were. Had it been one of those monsters, it would have been a totally different outcome.
The first thing Hubby said to me when we saw each other afterwards was, “Well, I guess this kills your desire to go out west to ride with storm chasers.” And my response was, “No way!! I still want to do that!” LOL
You’d better be in bed by now, young lady. You need a good night’s sleep!
