Is that such a bad thing?

Incoherent to people who think the important part of US anything is how much foreign we can mix into it.

KT McFarland, former deputy assistant secretary of defense for Ronald Reagan thought Trump’s foreign policy speech was “Reaganesque.”

Trump wants to rebuild a strong military to be able to deter a different set of threats from those that lead to the formation of NATO. A military posture more attuned to threats from terrorist states like Iran, and rogue regimes like N Korea, and the network of Islamic terrorist groups at war with the west, and the threats from terrorists on American soil.

McFarland is a frequent news guest because of her defense policy expertise and opinions.

AMERICA’S ALLIANCES DIDNT KEEP AMERICA SAFE
OUR MILITARY POWER DID
THE ALLIES GOT A FREE RIDE
TWICE WE BAILED OUT EUROPE
THE IDEA OF COALITIONS AS A NECESSITY FOR AMERICAN FOREIGN POLICY IS A PC EFFEMINATE IDEA... AMERICA LEADS... THE WORLD FOLLOWS

only the usa backs the 2% of GDP and then some on defense
the europeans better ante up or else...
and we pay 25% of the useless UN ... AND SHOULD STOP DOING SO

trump knows how to negotiate and realizes america is nothing more than a bananna republic right now
a paper tiger... a totally corrupt indecisive non-leader former great
a shadow of its former self thanks to the traitor idiot in the white hut

to show how stupid america is .... how can a dirbag felon like hillary even show her face in public much less run for office.... truly ridiculous

But it’s also full of contradictions and dangerous strains of isolationism

According to liberal orthodoxy, of course, any strain of isolationism is a dangerous strain...

Vote Trump

It is daaaaaaaangerous to want America to take care of America first! How dare we! Better to drive our children into poverty to help other countries.

I could not agree more with Trump’s foreign policies. It’s time. There is NO ONE save Israel who would care to pull our nuts out of the fire. We need to be very strong. The whole world is happy when we fail.

Trump questions international alliances that have kept America safe

Kept America safe? I'd say we contributed a lot more to their safety than they contributed to ours. And I think that's Trump's message.

Trump’s foreign policy speech today was brilliant on many different levels, but one of the most brilliant aspects to his speech is that by formulating and articulating his foreign policy in as much detail as he did at this stage of the election, he’s actually defined the foreign policy issues that will be debated from this point forward in the election! Hillary must now speak to TRUMP’S foreign policy! Hillary must either agree or disagree with the elements of Trump’s policies, which pretty much means she will lose either way.

So, ONCE AGAIN, Donald J. Trump has defined the election issues and has defined them in such a way that it is win-win for him and lose-lose for his opponent. This is something I don’t ever recall seeing in the last 25 years, namely a GOP candidate defining the issues and putting the Democrat on the defensive, rather than the Democrat defining the issues and putting the GOP on the defensive.

[BTW, what’s Hillary’s foreign policy? Does she even have one? Can’t wait to hear her foreign policy speech!]

Looks like some of the Left Coast "news-people" have opted to fall off the Left side even without the help of "The Big One"......

I won't peruse all the comments to see how many Cruz supporters jumped all over this one as "proof that Trump don't belong".....

Well, Trump doesn’t read from the Teleprompter as well as Obama does, I’ll give them that.

To me, it sounded like he was just tired. I’m amazed that he’s holding up as well as he does given his schedule.

But apart from that, he didn’t say anything I didn’t totally agree with.
