Cruz’s violent Indiana Gaffe: Senator makes light of NASCAR deaths in odd analogy
“Senator Ted Cruz is vying for votes in Indiana, but NASCAR fans are not laughing at Cruz’s latest joke about the primary, which shows a big lack of decency.”
“We had conversations and both campaigns agreed to focus our energies”, Cruz said. “We’re focusing our energies on the State of Indiana and Governor Kasich is focusing his energies elsewhere.” It was the first time, on camera, the Texas Senator had commented. About 350 to 450 people listened to Cruz criticize Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders while touting his support for Israel and opposition to transgender bathroom laws.
Cruz even compared a quote from the movie Hoosiers about two kinds of “dumb” people to a sign the federal government is too big.
“Well, let me tell you, the federal government has become the guy naked in the living room barking at the moon”, Cruz said.
But it was his comparing the Indiana Primary to the Indy 500 that drew some laughter and applause and begged the question; will this strategy with Kasich earn him the checkered flag in the Crossroads State or leave him too damaged to finish at the Republican convention?
“And if and when we win it may feature, like the Indy 500, a campaign crashing and burning and catching on fire”, Cruz said.

Wouldn’t it be fun if Trump asked Bobby Knight if he brought along a tape measure to see how high the ‘ring’ was from the floor?
It seems that the word from social media comments is: Don’t give up your day job, Carly.

It’s stupid to harp on it, but an unforced error that facilitates the MSM mocking Republicans.
