Ted Cruz is to make a sudden attempt to keep his presidential campaign alive by making Carly Fiorina his running mate.
He is to announce the move in Indiana this afternoon - the day after a humiliation in the five north-eastern primaries, which were all won convincingly by Donald Trump.
He promised a 'major announcement' at his afternoon rally in Indianapolis, as the candidate tries to set Indiana as the next major battleground and Trump takes a victory lap after his Tuesday night electoral romp.
Sources told Reuters it would be making Fiorina his running mate.

Cruz playing the V-Card still won’t gain him the support that Trump has gotten from women.

Ah heck the Cruz campaign is still trying to get a one on one debate with Trump. They sold themselves a bill of goods thinking that everyone but Ted and someone else would drop out. He and they miscalculated big time. Guess he wasn’t the smartest guy in the room after all.
What Ted failed to realize is that he comes across as that guy in class that everyone remembers: smarmy, book smart, and 100% clueless

If anything, this will LOSE Cruz votes in California. People here don't like Fiorina.

I think they’re hoping Trump says something negative about her at one of his rallies and can go on to say that Trump is anti woman. Mr. Trump please don’t take the bait.

Well, she will fit in good with Cruz. One being a corporate raider and the onther being a corporate tool.

Ted got between 10 and 20% of the voters, in most instances from a third place finish. I think he came in second in only one state.
In one of my graphics I stated, “Ted isn’t happy to just insult 85% of Conservative voters.”
This cold calculating move to name a woman who was herself an annoying candidate, should open some eyes.
Alas, some folks are too far over the edge to fight gravity any longer.

It really does seem desperation by Cruz. He wants to change the news cycle so badly from “Cruz got demolished in the NE primary”.
I think instead it will turn it into “In desperation after getting demolished in the NE Primary....”
Isn’t she from California? I think this is nothing more than a California play to keep Trump from getting all the CA delegates. Don’t think it will work though.
I’m beginning to wonder if this is just false information they leaked hoping Trump would say something nasty? We’ll know soon enough.
