Donald Trump won every county on Tuesday night in the five northeastern states that held primaries, sweeping up more delegates in his quest to lock up the GOP nomination.

Trump won each county in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut and Rhode Island, including Pennsylvania's Allegheny County, where rival John Kasich was born.

Trump also won every congressional district in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware to pick up more delegates. He won all but six districts in Connecticut a

I had predicted 980, so that’s even better.

At 980 Trump would have won 51.5% of awarded delegates, and needed to win 50% of the remaining.

988 is even better.

This means Trump won roughly 145 of yesterday’s 172 delegates, so it isn’t a rose colored glasses depiction by any means.

Kasich was certain he was going to do well in Pennsylvania because he was born there, haha. I guess to him it doesn’t matter if anyone votes for him because the is going to win the nomination at the convention.

You may be right. We’re in uncharted waters, that’s for sure.

You’re a disrupter in direct violation to the site owners wishes. Just opus out already since you’re just a stalking horse for Hillary.

I guess Ted and John aren’t the smartest guys in the room

I picture the two of them saying to each other “can you believe we are losing to that guy?’

If Pennsylvanias uncommitted vote for the district winner at least on the first round then Trump is at around 979 which means he is very close to his target numbers to get nination

Agreed. I actually voted for Cruz...in a state he won (Kansas). But I fully understand that without Trump, right now Jeb would be making convention plans and Cruz would be sitting at home. Trump shook up the primary in a big way, and I fully expect the general election to be just as unpredictable.

I’ve noticed that the media have called for radio silence, when it comes to Trump - trying not to give him any more free publicity. Well, once its one on one with Hillary, they won’t be able to resist, and once again Trump will get tens of millions of dollars worth of exposure, for free...while Hillary skulks around from fundraiser to fundraiser.

You Trumpsters couldn't tolerate the truth, even if it crushed you.
I never thought I'd see the day when so many Free Republic posters would support someone who is so OPPOSED to conservative values.
A vote for tRUMP, is a guaranteed win for the DemocRATS, whether that be Hillary, or tRUMP !

Yup. As I’ve noted, if you’re advocating a contested convention or third party candidacy, please do us all a favor - drop the pretense and vote for Hillary.

Any other assertion is completely dishonest. Sure, Trump isn’t my dream conservative candidate from Central Casting but he doesn’t exist.

I fully intend to vote for Trump in November as I’ve done on here in the FR Caucus.

GOP voters have spoken loud and clear and its incumbent upon the rest of us to heed them and support our party’s nominee for President Of The United States Of America.

CNN’s John King said on Tuesday that Kasich won a small western county in CT - Salisbury Co. or something like that - and he was making a big deal out of that... Maybe he should have waited until ALL results came in!
