Two men were killed and at least six other people were wounded in shootings Tuesday across Chicago.
One man was killed and another was critically wounded in a shooting at 4:37 p.m. in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.
The men, ages 19 and 24, were traveling in a vehicle in the 900 block of West Garfield when another vehicle pulled up and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.
Earlier Tuesday evening, a man was shot in the West Side Austin neighborhood. The 23-year-old was outside of a home in the 4700 block of West Huron about 8:20 p.m. when someone walked up and shot him in the knee, police said.
Tuesday's first shooting happened about 12:45 a.m. in the South Side Park Manor neighborhood. A 28-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 6900 block of South Vernon when someone came out of a gangway nearby and opened fire, police said. The man suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and back and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition.
