I’m shocked, shocked, that’s going on in Memphis. It’s so nice they can fleece the taxpayers (the few that actually pay taxes there) for something they won’t use.

I’d love something like that for myself!

Can you recommend a good one?

$150 for something the government will pay $65,000 for and hire an entire department to limit access to the data.

Trust me. Every school principal and public sector employee dealing with the public has one of these at all times, as do most the cops.

I actually find it very useful at work. I am an electrician working on industrial equipment. I used to have to write down all the wiring terminations and components when tearing into a project. Now I just turn on the recorder while I work and it is good enough quality to show wire numbers, colors, and I can even leave verbal reminders to myself at critical steps. I can also transfer the file to coworkers or to process control documentation for future use.

It cuts several hours out of a ten hour job, and leaves a process file for the next time the work needs to be done. Extremely valuable in the event of a work place injury, catastrophic failure weeks later, or for sourcing new parts or equipment with vendors because you can show them first hand what works well, lasts long, breaks or fails easily.

that’s GREAT!

I can’t believe the quality of the recording, and the amount of data it holds.

Truly amazing!

I have had so many times I wish I had something like this, am going to order a couple.

Thanks blackdog!

yes, I walk around with my phone recording on job sites all the time.

I even saw they had a voice activated one, so thinking of getting one of those as well, amazing technology. I’m older now, and sometimes when I head to a job site, I am bombarded with questions from various people over the first hour, this would be great for me to go back to the truck and review in case I forgot something (which I do sometimes, as I’m getting older).

I’m still impressed with my phone quality of recording, but this... man, this is just amazing!

I’d like to get a couple for our site foreman to be honest, but would be concerned about reaction from our employees (who are union). Have to give this some thought.

But this is just amazing.

It says it’s about 80 minutes of recording if you buy the upgraded memory, I wonder how large that will be in a year or two.
