I have seen firsthand number 3 and number 5 rebar snapping like pretzels when trying to bend it, from China. Got shipped to Alaska years ago. Rebar must bend.

Yep, roller bearings from Timken (China) I’ve seen the rollers shatter or “pockmark”.

Chinese steel pipe overly hard and breaking threader teeth.

God knows what else is out there in mission critical positions.

Also they counterfeit nuts and bolts with inferior steel. These have a huge failure rate.
