From research and personal experience to stop ID theft (at least on taxes).

1. Get a credit freeze on all credit accounts

2. Get an IRS PIN for filing taxes

3. ALWAYS file a paper return. You can use software to complete the return - just print it out and mail it.

Very good advice, I always file a paper return but haven’t taken the other precautions.

my 1) Get such a bad credit rating that noone will issue you any credit.
