More green equals more oxygen produced.
More green also lowers co2 because thats what they take in o grow and produce oxygen.

Plants are co2 scrubbers. As well as being o2 producers.

Climate skeptics argue the findings show that the extra CO2 is actually benefiting the planet. …
More like people with integrity with respect to studying the climate make that argument.

Carbon sequestration- trees are pros at it. Let them do their job, and we’ll be fine.

More plants = more oxygen. And the problem is?

“would not compensate for global warming, rising sea levels, melting glaciers, ocean acidification, the loss of Arctic sea ice, and the prediction of more severe tropical storms.”

None of which has happened.

Do these greenies who bleat “CO2 bad”realize that if the carbon dioxide level goes below a certain point , all plant life would die?

It goes against the official narrative, so it must be bad. In some way, somehow.
Gimme a research grant and I'll come up with something.

CO2 .. IS NOT HARMFUL TO THE PLANET.

IT’S CARBON MONOXIDE THAT IS HARMFUL - AND PEOPLE WHO ARE IGNORANT OF CHEMISTRY, DO NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.

Humans expel CO2, which causes the plants and trees to produce oxygen, which the humans need to remain alive.

Wow, GOD knew what HE was doing with that formula.

This BBC article is crap.

First of all of course plants are thriving with the CO2 we put in the atmosphere. This is not a new discovery, but has been well understood for a long time, but very undereported.

Secondly this quote is pure unadulterated B.S.:

The lead author, Prof Ranga Myneni from Boston University, told BBC News the extra tree growth would not compensate for global warming, rising sea levels, melting glaciers, ocean acidification, the loss of Arctic sea ice, and the prediction of more severe tropical storms.

Science has shown that this stuff is not being significantly effected by our increase in CO2 at all. Glaciers have been melting for many centuries. Sea levels have risen at about the same rate for centuries. There are not more severe storms than there used to be unless you count damage in property values (especially without adjusting for inflation), so that is bunk.

I wish they would make up their minds. I thought the rain forests were being decimated.

BTW, algae in the oceans does more photosynthesis that all the greenery on land. At least that was the "settled science" yesterday.

Whether beneficial or not, the excess carbon dioxide is not coming from us. The best estimate is that humans add only about 3% to the rise...the other 97% is just nature doing its thing.

Note the “...sceptics point out...” followed by “...but researchers say...” .

Now that wouldn’t prejudice a reader now, would it?

So very MSM. You know, those D students in your freshman courses who became journalists.

I am indeed a sceptic, and have the background to say without hesitation, “Show me the data, and show that you can actually analyze it.”

In a word: “adaptation”

Mother Nature adapts and thrives with changes in the atmosphere. Who’da thunk it? (Other than the liberal hero, Darwin?)

“But the researchers say the fertilisation effect diminishes over time.”

Yah, in about 500 years or so.

btw, did they mention that the warming effect of CO2 ALSO diminishes?
