You’d have to be a native to actually prefer Cheez Whiz, to be honest. It’s not what most people outside of Philadelphia would want on their steak and cheese sub. Canned spray cheese product doesn’t exactly scream authenticity, it’s a big step down from even Velveeta to most.

Rather, if you look, you’ll see 27 other ingredients, including whey (a protein byproduct of milk, the liquid left after the milk has been curdled and strained), corn syrup, and milk protein concentrate (a cheaper alternative to higher-priced powdered milk).”
