Allies of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) are now targeting conservative legend Phyllis Schlafly, a leading grassroots anti-establishment voice for half a century, because Schlafly endorsed billionaire businessman Donald Trump for president in the 2016 GOP primary.

..snip

For the first time here, the inside story of Schlafly’s battle for survival—including exclusive interviews with her, her daughter who’s working against her, and several of the others involved—will be told. In dueling Breitbart interviews, both Schlafly and Cori detail how painful this has been for both of them—and how it’s torn apart one of America’s leading conservative families.

Very long article. But it goes a long way to understanding one of many puzzles conservatives are divided by in this election cycle.

It is a very sad story that we must all understand and come to grips with.

It is Time to end the Division and lies in our GOP/Conservative community.

The Truth is the Test.

Cori confirmed she forwarded the private email onto several other people, including Adams. It was Adams who sent it to the Cruz campaign—which eventually got it into Roe’s hands.

Wow. Cut her out of the will.

She took a bitter pill after Martin was selected to be Phyllis Schlafly’s replacement.

Let's hope they can put the pieces back together.

I am not interested in a family feud. I am interested in presenting a united front in the November election. United to beat the ComDems and lay the groundwork for exposing their true crimes under and honest DOJ. Hold the criminals in all parties liable for their actions.

Phyllis must be proud that her candidate now supports men in women’s bathrooms. She must be getting dementia.

She had a logical reason for endorsing Trump.

For decades, she has talked about the “kingmakers” in the GOP. The people behind the scenes—the party establishment—that picks the nominee.

That’s why social issues never get pushed by GOP presidents. The kingmakers pick men who talk a good game, but have no intention of actually doing anything about social issues.

She has long contended that until we break the power of the kingmakers in the Republican party, we would never make progress on social issues.

Do you now understand why she endorsed Trump? Trump is breaking the stranglehold of the GOP establishment (the kingmakers). He is the only candidate (not just this time, but in decades) that has had any chance at breaking that stranglehold.

I did not vote for Trump in the primary.

But if he wins the nomination, I will vote for him in November.

I’m sick of the political lies within the GOP. It is time to end that.

That is in essence what Jeff Sessions said when he endorsed Trump.
