I doubt this is going to work. I actually think that the two of them publicly confessing that they are nothing more than spoilers on behalf of the establishment, will energize Trump supporters, and probably suppress the turn out for both Cruz and Kasich. Some of their lost voters will vote for Trump, and others will just stay home.
Cruz is honestly torpedoing his entire career at this point.
