Does your concept of absolutism apply to the Yazidi Christian women, the Baka Haram’s captive girls, or other women held as sex slaves and gang-raped daily by their captors? Reprehensible, indeed.

Well I think we have discovered that in the view of these folks there are no morally ambiguous situations.

I guess these folks never heard of Socrates, but they know everything.

So I have a question. If one is a moral absolutist, does one support the candidate who espouses moral absolutism, even though he is a proven hypocrite, or does one go with someone with more wisdom about the nature of man and the human condition and who has a certain degree of what others of us were taught was an important part of being a Christian - charity.

Indeed, which is more important, moral absolutism or Christian charity [Christ gave us a hint with the parable of the adultress], but maybe we are allowed to ignore that part of Christ's teachings while we revert to our Old Testiment god.
