Trump: 'I'm only interested in the first ballot'

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said Sunday he expects to secure the Republican nomination on the first ballot.

"I'm only interested in the first ballot," he said during a rally in Hagerstown, Md.

"I'm not interested in second, third, fourth, nineteenth because I'm really interested in winning it early and that's it."

Trump said he's not "playing games," adding he's going to win in states that other Republicans are not even going to campaign in.

But during the rally, Trump slammed the primary system, calling it unfair. He criticized rival Ted Cruz for "bribing" delegates.

These “rules” are contrived to create specific outcomes and have been changed to suit the rulemaker’s purposes. How would that work in a Superbowl game?

Hewitt’s been saying that for a while - his book “If It’s Not Close, They Can’t Cheat” was published in July 2004.

Mr. Trump actually put himself in this race - did the paperwork, has been campaigning like he has the stamina of a 30 year old.. on his own BUCK... and Trump believes in the election process.... and is calling out a warning to the sabatogeers.... maybe they should pay attention.

Ryan was just playing coy... and still is

Will you be laughing when hillary gets elected?

Because that’s exactly what will happen if they screw Trump out of the nomination.

And it's going to apply to his anti-Trump crowd at the Rep Con.

I'm saying we want a President who is the overwhelming favorite of the voters, not the person who works behind the scenes to manipulate the in crowd. We've learned one very important thing through this campaign. We now know why the "Constitutional Conservatives" we elect to DC based on their campaign promises backstab us before they even unpack in DC.

They are bought and paid for by the time they get nominated.

But don't feel too great. It's doubtful the US will survive if the elite backstabbers don't realize us voting fodder aren't voting for them anymore if they steal the nomination. And if this later-ballot BS with Trojan delegates happens? Yeah, that qualifies as stealing the nomination.

How much hate do you have to dole out on Cruz to make Trump palatable?

I look at Cruz and Trump on their own merits, the faults of one doesn’t make the other one look any better.

If you are trying to get under my skin by attacking Cruz, good luck, you might as well criticize pine trees.

I think then that there is a reason why it is called a ‘Party’.

If this is truly what he is trying to do, then he needs to go get his own ‘Party’.

The rules that were set last summer, before the season started? That is how the Super Bowl is played.

If Trump loses on the first, so do you. You simply don’t know it yet.

How do winners react to rules that they don’t like

No. He EXPOSED the system for what it is: Pay to Play Corruption.

And for that, he has the American Patriot’s heart.

Thank you, DJT.

Isn’t that so sad?

When our nation first began, J. Adams said our system of gov’t is only for a “deeply religious and moral people”.

Hugh Hewitt’s comment draws a stark reality of how far we’ve sunk.

I remember Cocky Jeb standing there at the debates, with that smirk on his face, with arrogance and condescension, proclaiming that though he may lose the Primary, he WILL WIN the nomination.

Fixed Oligarchy, with its choke hold on Americans.
What to do......................

Wait, wait, I wiping a tear from my eye. If we knock Washington and Jefferson off of Rushmore, there may be just enough room for a large orange Trump, with the hair.

I’m not sure about that.

If DJT is short on the 1st ballot, I think their choice is:

2nd ballot/End of GOP

or

Let DJT have it and willingly give up their Gravy Train.

Hmmmmm. I can’t think of one instance in history where despots/marxists/oligarchs/tyrants willingly gave up power.

No ‘conditional’ winner with Trump.

He’s going to cream Hillary.

"How do winners react to rules that they don't like? "

They slam them if they should be slammed. Then they deal with them, overcome them, and take what action they can to change them.

What part of that is Trump not doing?

The whine narrative isn't working because nobody perceives it as whining except already-dug-in Cruz supporters, who don't really see it as whining either, but capitalize on it because their candidate is losing badly ... because individual American's don't trust their candidate, believe he is a self serving schemer and a liar. I agree with them.

The owner of this site has made it clear that he wants the Trump trashing on HIS site to stop.

Your choice of words are meant to confer derision upon the front runner. Your sarcasm in describing DJT exceeds the perimeters of what JR has expressed as what he wants for his site.

If you are unable to contain your derision and sarcasm for Mr. Trump, JR asks that you “TAKE IT ELSEWHERE”.

Please respect JR’s expressed wishes. Thank You.

DJT’s likeness would indeed look wonderful there. Keep Washington and Jefferson. Lincoln can go.
