I agree, in Mexico it is not uncommon for entire families to be murdered. Actually happened a little South of me a couple years ago.

It is possible someone else did it of course but sure sounds like Cartel work.

Originally they acted as though it was something like a murder+suicide situation, told people that live there they didn’t think it was a “killer on the loose” situation. Then found no self-inflected wounds on any of the deceased, so it did become a hunt for killer/s.

Dewine just announced it was sophisticated, pre-planned, and included efforts to hinder the investigation. He used the word “those” and now is falling back on murdererer or murderers. Says they will studiously avoid giving details.

Yeah, those drug cartels don’t like people messing with their money.
Of course, they have been known to target the wrong families from time to time.
But it’s all good for them, the message is still sent.
