Looks like even if we get rid of hillary, either she goes to jail or loses we still have web hubbell’s kid to deal with....never ends.....
......................
“Chelsea Clinton: Gun Control Opportunity on Supreme Court With Scalia Gone

Chelsea Clinton said Thursday at an event in Maryland that there is now an opportunity for gun control legislation to pass the Supreme Court since Justice Antonin Scalia passed away.

“It matters to me that my mom also recognizes the role the Supreme Court has when it comes to gun control. With Justice Scalia on the bench, one of the few areas where the Court actually had an inconsistent record relates to gun control,” Clinton said. “Sometimes the Court upheld local and state gun control measures as being compliant with the Second Amendment and sometimes the Court struck them down.”

Clinton then touted her mother’s record on gun control issues and knowledge that the Supreme Court has an effect on whether many gun control laws stand.”

Technically speaking, it’s true. Only when votes are cast on the convention floor will they count to get to the 1237 number to win the nomination. I remember only one time a bound delegate changed votes during the convention and that was four or eight years ago. I doubt that guy was reelected as a delegate or ever will be again.

The other side is, there will be plenty of Trump supporters at the convention that unbound delegates will also be pressured to vote for Trump. In the mean time, the media/press will continue questioning and speculating in order to drive ratings for themselves. That’s also a given. Consider the source with skepticism and common sense before jumping to conclusions.

-- So I'm going to flirt and look my best and I'm thinking I can get voted to that national convention. --

That would be awesome! Plus, you already know how the system works, even if you don't think you know.

One of the problems with the election process is that every state does it differently. It looks like your state is no exception.
Keep us informed, you may be surprised at what you see.Being a delegate is a great honor. It would be interesting to see how the entire process works in your state.

Soon the Sunday talk shows will start so allow me to do my rant on Target.

It’s obvious me, and to people with brains, that this bathroom thing is supported by the Hollywood Gay crowd, come on, nobody out here is begging for the right to pee in the wrong bathroom.

The goal is to make perverts the objects of “discrimination” because like the Munchausen nuts amongst us, we live in a society that is free with sympathy because we are a good people. And people like my daughter take advantage of that. Her and the transgender perverts, come on people, if I walk into a public bathroom marked for females and some pervert is in there with testicles and wearing a skirt, I’m going to make a scene.

For sure I’d freak out if my granddaughter were to encounter such a thing.

So now e got Target, heh, out championing the cause of the perverts and here’s what I notice.

Target, for God’s sake, what the hell do they sell? They are nothing but a big five and ten cent store as we used to call it in our day.

You ever see their commercials? They actually have unicorns and rainbows on some of them.

As for their “products”....they show colorful plates and tablecloths....feel-good stuff that makes the viewer feel that the “cool” people shop at Target.

I think Target is probably owned by a bunch of perverts and I’m sure that this store gets something from the government....tax breaks....I don’t know. But the store is a big zero-burger, not that I’ll ever shop there, EVER.

The perverts want to take over the country, with the help of some big retailers.

No problem. Forwarding something like this has happened to all of us. Embarrassing, not not fatal. You caught it too and corrected the email which shows you checked. Many people don’t do that.

So my niece, a loverly, loverly girl who I love dearly, sends me a message.

“Trump is coming to Steven Decatur high school!”

Now I am the political junkee in my family but my nieces know this. On a whim I responded “Do you want to go?”

She writes me back, to my complete surprise...”I’D LOVE TO GO!”

Go to hell, I didn’t even know the child liked Trump.

Well SHE went to the Trump rally because I have issues walking and standing around due to clogged leg arteries. But she sent me updates from the rally, some pics.....wow, I was so impressed because she actually went to a political rally. Understand my niece is 50 years old, not a child, but she’ll always be a special one to me, who practically raised her.

THEN Trump goes to Harrington Delaware, site of the state fair. Again I am invited to go but again, I get pics and updates and watched it on local TV.

So no I didn’t, literally, go to any Trump rallies, come on guys, I am a Cruz voter.

Well maybe not. Frankly I have not made up my mind. Although if Trump wins that primary Tuesday I shall vote for him the following Saturday because I am told that’s what I shall do.

And y’all think I can flirt my way to the national convention in Cleveland?

HEh.

I can’t believe this...me, former women’s libber, actually willing to bat my eyes for a ticket but we shall see. I know all about the local Trump rallies however as I was there.....not physically but while it was going on.

Going OT here, but homosexuality was a mental illness in 1972 but became perfectly normal by 1974.

(Imagine of the cost savings if Obamacare did the same thing with coronary artery disease, stroke and cancer!)

Watching Manafort on FNS.

Wallace intro is about Trump changing tone, new candidate, etc. Played clips from NY victory speech.

The boss is looking to tone it down. Manafort is behind the effort to get the RNC to rally around Trump.

Plays clip from Manafort meeting, where Trump says he has been "playing a part." Manafort says they are evolving the campaign, not the candidate. Wallace tries to spin this as Trump is changing. Manafort says this issue was brought up in Trump's speech in Waterbury - when Trump is in a rally, he will treat it as a rally, and when he is giving a policy speech, he will treat it as a more serious subject.

Plays clip from Cruz - Trump doesn't believe anything he is saying, he is telling us he is lying to us.

Manafort says "There's the liar." He's losing, he's trying to change the narrative. We never said Trump wasn't going to build the wall. Cruz needs to change the subject, and will probably come in third in the next 5 states. He just makes things up when he is cornered.

Wallace says Cruz had a good weekend - Cruz has been getting supporters as delegates. Cruz "got" 65 delegates, Trump got 2. Manafort says what Cruz got was zero, the only vote that counts is the one cast at the convention. Cruz doesn't care about the election; at the last minute (in Maine) broke the deal he made, he steamrolled the outcome he wanted.

Cruz is causing party disruption. It doesn't hurt Trump.

Now trying to attack Manafort for his past roles in foreign elections, e.g., Marcos in the Philippines, and in the Ukraine. Manafort says his role was to bring Ukraine into Europe.

Now sating the Trump campaign is a Washington lobbyist apparatus. Manafort says the people involved in the Trump campaign haven't been lobbying for many years. Trump is clearly an outsider. Manafort says this is Cruz trying to confuse the point that Cruz is going to be unable to get 1237 on the first ballot.

Manafort says Trump is working with party officials

Wallace brings up the bathroom issue, tries to paint Trump as waffling. Manafort says what happens is what Trump said, state's rights issue.

Wallace says coming up are policy speeches using teleprompters, is the "new team" going to drag Trump kicking and screaming to being presidential? Manafort says "not a new team, expanded team."

An exchange worth watching. I'll post a link to transcript after it's made available. wallace was totally hostile, tried to get a rise out of Manafort. Didn't work.

By the way. Two funny items from candidates aired on FNC.

The first was Trump mimicking Hillary being presidential and using teleprompters. It was great as Trump showed how stiff Hillary is and how she cannot speak well without them. The crowd loved it.

The second was the Cruz comment that Trump wanted to dress up as Hillary so he could use the girls bathroom. Then Cruz apologized to the crowd for the image he created in their minds. Love or hate Cruz, it was a funny line.

With all of the turmoil portrayed by the media regarding the Republican convention, does anybody here know what the rules might be for the Democrats?

Because it occurs to me, that I were a fairly rational Democrat super-delegate, at this point I might be looking at my options: Senator Bernie Sanders, who is running because apparently the dems could not reincarnate George McGovern; or Hillary Clinton. Now Hillary might not be indicted by the Obama administration, but with 147 FBI agents assigned to the Hilary investigation, there has to be something other than a nothing-burger there somewhere.

And with that many FBI agents involved, and who knows how many other FBI employees and contractors who have access to all or some of the files related to the Hillary investigation, there is a possibility that one or more of those FBI employees can decide that they need to be the next Edwin Snowden. When that happens, it would be very difficult to bury all the news about the leak and the content. And that would effectively end Hillary's chance to be elected.

So the democrat super-delegates need to decide if they want to finally get Hillary out of contention forever, or possibly salvage their control of the White House. It would be very interesting if the supers withhold support from Hillary and Bernie both on the first ballot, and vote for the democrat equivalent of Paul Ryan or Willard Romney. Then round 2 of the vote would be open season.

I realize this is all speculation, but still. I am going to stock up on popcorn before the dems convention, just in case. During the 1968 Democrat convention, Mike Royko referred to Richard J Daley as "The Great Pumpkin". I can only imagine what he would come up with for Hillary.
