Fox News Sunday - April 24, 2016 Transcript

BEN DOMENECH, THE FEDERALIST: Well, first off, within the context of the discussion about bathrooms, keep in mind there are fewer transgender people in America, according to the best estimates than we have than there are registered sex offenders. In this case, I think that's actually the thing that people are concerned about. They're less concerned about transgender people coming into bathrooms than they are men using this as a way to get into locker rooms with women and to exploit that opportunity to participate in some kind of criminal act.

I think that's something that is a concern among a lot of Americans. The polls generally show that favoring sort of the -- these types of policies has actually increased since this debate has started.

On the side of Trump, I think this is part of the piece of what we've seen in the past, a month ago after he ran the table in Florida, in Missouri, and in Illinois and in North Carolina, there was this -- all this talk about he is going to shift to being more presidential and instead, he embarked on a series of gaffs and own goals that undermined his own ability to coalesce and to unite the party.

What we've seen over the past week since he won in New York is again, you know, reverting to these personalized attacks, calling for weakening the pro-life plank of the party, getting to the left of Hillary Clinton on transgender issues, you know, coming out in favor of raising taxes, insulting his opponents' names, and coming out again just the other day and suggesting in spite of all of the legal decisions that have gone against it, that Ted Cruz is not going to be a qualified candidate for the presidency because he is not a naturalized citizen.

This is not someone who is interested in uniting the party. If it's so easy to be presidential, why doesn't he try it for five minutes?

Blockquote not for any point other than I thought it was interesting. I don't agree with Mr. Domenech, that's for sure, and notice his use of the words "naturalized citizen," likely deliberate obfuscation going forward. "Naturalized, natural born, what's the difference?" sort of sleight of hand. Say the opposition is accusing Cruz of not being naturalized, then when it is shown that Cruz is naturalized, say "see, the opposition was wrong," and voila, eligibility is established in the eyes of the public.

This is pretty funny. I didn't watch it, so it's news to me as I read it ...

WASSERMAN SCHULTZ: Chris, when you look at what happened this week on the other side of the aisle with basically Toto pulling back the curtain on the wizard and revealing that Donald Trump isn't on the level, has never been on the level, they basically have a faker running for president of the United States and, you know, has -- has been the most extreme misogynistic, bigoted candidate that the Republican Party certainly has ever put forward and probably any candidate has ever run -- who's ever run before. You know, pointed differences between our candidates that, at the end of this primary, you know, it's -- it pales in comparison to what's played out on the other side of the aisle. I mean, you have each of these candidates on the other side calling each other liars ...

Trump would wipe the smirk off her face right quickly, I think.

Washrag’s lips are moving, and when she smiles, she seems to be an attractive young woman.

With the miracle of mute, I have no idea what she’s saying.

Actually, if she mellowed out the hairdo, she wouldn't be bad. As for hearing her, she is quick and assertive with every cliché and current talking point the Dems have at hand. It is painful to watch, but candy for the masses.

Sad to say Rush has become part of the problem.Never thought he would cave like this.

When you're up against a collection of forces like the Uniparty/Current administration/Gov employees/Media, etc, etc, who have already demonstrated their ability and willingness to do absolutely anything to keep their hold on power (Scalia's death still reeks of high-level foul play JMHO), I'm fairly sure that Rush chose to cave rather than "maybe have an unexpected accident or something even worse".

The Chicago Way seems to have just gone national.

Also and slightly off-topic, I picked up this little bit of information this morning (hat tip to PA Engineer):

The Gentleperson's Guide To Forum Spies

https://cryptome.org/2012/07/gent-forum-spies.htm

(I've thought for a long time these trolls around here were getting so predictable they had to be part of an organization and now they seem to even have written Field Manuals.....)

..... Both parties favor Big Government.

No doubt about it. And so do most of the people. I have all but given up on this great country.

After all you can show the world you will not soil your Conservative purity with Trump.

BRAY, you may have forgotten, I have NEVER claimed to be a CONservative. I have always been a Limited Federal G'ment CONSTITUTIONALIST. That is why I support Senator Cruz I do not trust anything Mr. Trump broadcasts at any given moment - including his N.Y. values

If the NRA is a “Gun Lobby” then Planned Parenthood is an “Abortion Mill”.

Yet the same journalists who so readily and constantly use the term “Gun Lobby” will say “Abortion Mill” is inflammatory and hyper-partisan.

Their choice of trigger words and propagandist terms, plus those that are more or as evenly truthful—that they WILL NEVER use—betray them as democrat/socialist/Marxists.

CNN State of the Union - April 24, 2106 Transcript

TAPPER: Don, do you think -- so, just to reiterate something you just said, you think that the Republican establishment would rather run Ted Cruz and lose with him than have your father be the nominee?

DONALD TRUMP JR.: You know, there are decisions that are being made, and there's things that I see and actions happening that make me really question whether they actually want someone who could actually win. When I see all the people in this state, because I'm in Pennsylvania today, who have switched over, and the hundreds of thousands of people all over the country who have switched over from being independent to being Republicans, who switched over from being Democrats to being Republicans, and they don't embrace that?

Instead, they go with -- want to try to push someone else who has zero chance of winning anywhere else? It doesn't make any sense to me. I have to certainly question their motives. ...

Re your hate of Target,I thought you’d enjoy my mission to
the San Clemente Target store. I was all prepared to speak
to the manager and ask what kind of advice, re the restroom issue he was getting from corporate. Then I spied the
restrooms - the have three. One is labeled ‘unisex’.
Then I went on to enjoy a clean store full of useful
household items. You ought to get out more,, you’d
sound happier.

You are off but I hate to see you go!

I wish everyone would try to get along on this thread in spite of who they support in the Republican primaries.

While I voted for Trump in the Alabama Primary I would be happy with a Cruz nominee.

—Anybody but Clinton

—Anybody but a democrat.

—Anybody but a RINO.
In that order.

After that, I believe it comes down to personal preference.

Regardless of who wins, Trump or Cruz, it is still going to take years, if not decades, to roll back the Left and the damage they’ve done, if we can at all.

We need every Conservative and even small “l” libertarians working hard TOGETHER on that goal, or surely, it will not get down, and we will—as a nation—sink into the abyss.

and there is this from Debbie W-S.....”Colin Powell, John Kerry and Condoleezza Rice all used their private email address for Government business and that Hillary had permission to do the same.” Ergo.....Hillary has not a problem in the world regarding the FBI security check.

This is obfuscation at it's best!!! Hitlery set up an unsecured server in a bathroom to handle TS/SCI information - the other mentioned folk did NO SUCH THING.

The left must go to a special school to learn how to lie to the media in such a way that it sounds like the GOP are the evil ones just playing politics.

If you or I had done what Shrillary did we would be in an orange jump suit and no one can argue their way out of that. As a contractor I know those rules and how they are backed up by law. AS AN UNINDICTED FELON SHRILLARY IS NOT QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT AND IF THE USA ELECTS HER, THEY DESERVE THE GOVERNMENT THEY GET UNDER HER.

IMHO she is the next President - the media is soooo in the tank for her thighness. There is no where left on the globe to go if you are considering where to move. Wonder when Levin and El Rushbo are going to tell us their bailout plans??

Dan, I was just as dogmatically in favor of Cruz a few months ago, and, in fact donated twice to his campaign. Gradually and doing my own thinking, I had a sinking feeling that stuff wasn’t adding up like failing to disclose loans from GS ect. I’m a big boy and do realize that politicians distort the truth at times but I have done a 180 on Ted. I don’t agree that Trump is less truthful and I have come to appreciate his self funding campaign. I like the idea that he can’t be bought. I certainly appreciate your desire for a limited Government that adhered strictly to the Constitution. When Jeff Sessions endorsed Trump I was convinced I was on the wrong horse.

Many of us went through the same scenario. Not favoring Cruz didn't happen in a vacuum.

LOL

If only one percent of a population is slime, you get a million people and that “only one percent” becomes a whole sh**pot full, don’t it?

...however, I’d still claim Richard J. Daley and the 1960 elections as record setters.
