“Even if Trump reaches the magic number of 1,237 the media and RNC are touting, that does not mean Trump is automatically the nominee,” Haugland said. “The votes earned during the primary process are only estimates and are not legal convention votes. The only official votes to nominate a candidate are those that are cast from the convention floor.”

“You become the presumptive nominee when you get 1,237 bound delegates,” RNC spokesman Lindsay Walters told CNBC. “You officially become nominee when you have 1,237 votes on the floor of the convention.”

All he is really saying is that these estimated delegate totals don’t get you the nomination. It becomes official when they actually vote at the convention.

The delegates are bound on round one, and if Trump walks in with 1237 in round one, he’ll get it. Until then, he could only be called the “presumptive” nominee.

North Dakota is one of the few states where delegates are not bound even on the first ballot. I hope that’s all he is saying.

That makes more sense. Even Priebus has said as much. He has said multiple times that when a candidate reaches 1237 it’s all over.

Certainly, reaching 1237 can happen before the convention by the win results coming into the Convention, or shortly after the Convention opens by obtaining a few additional number of delegates to get you to 1237 and it’s over.

No, he’s saying more than that. He’s saying Trump delegates could be challenged as unofficial or illegitimate delegates. Trump also plans on challenging delegates during the certification process.

It’s the certification process that he is talking about.

Haugland is an a-hole regardless. He’s the one that told Becky Quick on CNBC that it’s a good question as to why even have voters participate in a GOP primary.

Super uber RINO Tom Ridge was on CNN this morning saying Trump will never be the nominee and he will try everything in his power to nominate Kasich. He goes on to say no way in hell would he ever vote for Donald Trump even if he got the nomination. So Tom Ridge is a Hillary Clinton supporter. The entire GOP would much rather have Clinton win than Trump, that’s why it’s either Cruz or Kasich at the convention. They know both would get destroyed by Clinton. Trump can beat her and their way of life is finished.

Perhaps that's all he's saying - some would logically conclude that the GOPe/RNC and others are still trying to find ways to steal the election from the People so they can seat their own choice.
