Well, I haven’t financially supported anyone. However, had been a political until ~1998 & was looking forward to voting for a conservative for the 1st time...& I will do so in my primary. In the last 2 general elections, I held my nose & voted for my 5th or 6th choices...so by the time of this general election I won’t be withholding my support (aka my vote) from the nominee...
” I wont be withholding my support (aka my vote) from the nominee...”
I think that’s admirable. I will be doing the same...
My first voting age election was 1976. I voted for my candidate of choice in the PA primary, then held my nose to vote for Ford in the general. In 1980, I was lucky enough to get to vote for my candidate of choice in the PA primary and also in the general election - both victorious! I may finally get a repeat of that experience 36 years later - fingers crossed.
I don’t fault Cruz for not dropping out, nor do I fault his supporters for hanging in there to the bitter end.
My beef is with the #neverTrump types here on FR who take every opportunity to put Trump and his supporters in the worst possible light, and yet pass up similar opportunities to condemn Obama or Clinton!
My beef is with #neverTrump types here on FR who can’t respect my opinion that Trump is the only candidate who passes the Buckley test, namely, that he is the most conservative candidate who is also electable. I’m growing weary of being insulted and having my intelligence or conservatism doubted, simply for having that opinion.
You are clearly not one of those I have a beef with my FRiend!
