Ted Cruz Attacks Trump Over Support For Transgender Men "Pretending" To Be Women

Ted Cruz's campaign produced and released this attack ad overnight, after Donald Trump came out in favor of allowing transgender people to use the bathroom of their choice, rather than the bathroom corresponding to their birth. The Cruz campaign has seized on this issue as a clear indicator that Donald Trump is "not a conservative."

"Leave it the way it is," Trump said. "There have been very few problems."

"Should a grown man pretending to be a woman be allowed to use the women's restroom?" asks the Cruz campaign, calling the bathroom issue "PC Nonsense that is destroying America."

"North Carolina, what they're going through with all the business that's leaving, all of the strife -- and this is on both sides. Leave it the way it is," Trump said at a town hall on NBC's 'Today Show' Thursday. "People go, they use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate."

Cruz has launched an extended media attack campaign against Trump on this issue, doing interviews with his two biggest media backers -- Glenn Beck and Mark Levin -- about the transgender issue Thursday.

And back to my question, again. How would a law like that be enforced??? Who would identify people in the wrong bathrooms? How would they be identified? Say you suspect someone to be the wrong gender - would you call 911??

Cruz biggest argument against Trump is that if he is nominated he will lose to Hillary. But his supporters say they will stay home if Trump is the nominee, insuring a Hillary win. Cruz should be telling his supporters they have to vote for Trump.

If someone wants to go into a bathroom and use it legit, I am fine with that.

If a woman came into our bathroom and said she needs to use it, I’d let her.

Only thing I’m worried about is people going into bathrooms to commit some sort of lewd crime or sexual assault, and that is something that any reasonable person should be concerned with.

But that type of thing happens now. Men commit crimes in the men’s room, men commit crimes in the ladies room, and to be honest, I am not sure if women do that, maybe they do, but I’m not aware of it.

I think that it is wrong to assume right off that transgender people are going to commit crimes as a matter of course. if they do, they they should be dealt with as we deal with any criminal.

I am not sure if males are going to take advantage of this and commit crimes more than already is done, but if they do, then we deal with them as we deal with any criminal.

As long as people are behaving civilly and respectfully in restrooms, I got no problems. I ain’t gonna go out of my way to be mean to someone who doesn’t deserve it.

Up until 2012 the American Psychiatric Association classified transgenderism as a "mental illness" along the lines of pedophilia. Transgenderism is dangerous, with statistical evidence showing that Transgenders are significantly more likely to prey on children.

Do you suggest that we wait until our children are victims before we protest this abomination?

Anyone can walk in there anytime they want to and victimize anyone they are able to right now everywhere in the world.

They can do this in the ladies room and they can do it in the men’s room. They can do it in the family room and in the dressing room. They can do this in any room. or in the park. Or at the beach.

The criteria for the probability of this happening is not whether someone is a transgender, it’s whether or not they are a criminal.

If people want to open their restrooms to transgender people, I respect that.

If people don’t want to open their restrooms to transgender people, I respect that.

But I don’t want to assume that a person is a violent sex criminal until a person demonstrates that capacity.

Transgenders are already in the wrong bathrooms - that has been going on as long as there have been bathrooms and transgenders. Anyone who proposes stopping it has the obligation to have a practical and coherent way to actually do it. So how would it be done?

Not legally they can’t- a man isn’t allowed i na woman’s bathroom right now- or a locker room, or a shower room or a changing room- and while yesw, they ‘could’ walk in, the likely hood that htey will is much much lower right now because of the law- however, if we allow men into bathrooms- there won’t be any sense of alarm before an attack happens- stripping women of even that basic right of self defense- YES- self defense- as it is now, a man walks into a bathroom, and women are immediately on alert- and will be able to legally call the authorities or security and have hte man removed- IF however, the law states a man can use same bathroom- She is NOT allowed to call and report him until it’s too late-

The problem is you are referring to individual people- not the group as a whole- the group as a whole HAS demonstrated they are mentally ill- they are perverts, they do cause problems, they do engage in sexual abuse- and remember, we are not just talking about allowing trannies in bathrooms opposite their sex- if men are allowed in you will also have another group- several other groups infact, who HAVE demonstrated a much much higher proclivity to sexual assaults

Again- the goal in society is to reduce the risk that our women and children will be raped, molested, murdered etc- and it behooves us to do everything we can to make sure that groups with a known higher chance of criminal activity aren’t allowed free access to potential victims such as young children -
